How to Use

1. Learn

On the home page, select Learn, choose one or more sets, and press Start Learning! You'll see each Arabic Name, its transliteration, and its primary English meaning.

2. Practice

Select Practice, choose your sets, and hit Start Quiz!

Type the English meaning or title for each Divine Name and press Enter.
Correct answers turn green and move you directly to the next card.
Incorrect attempts will reveal the accepted meaning. If your answer was acceptable, click ✓ I was right to override.
Hit Finish Quiz when done to check your score and practice any missed names.

Tips

Learn in chunks at a time: don't rush yourself.
Slight typographical errors (1 edit distance) are forgiven.
The transliteration note (e.g., "Ar-Rahman") is displayed to assist with recognition.

99 Names of Allah is an open-source memorization tool modeled after low-friction spaced repetition quizzes, which I found to be the most effective way of memorizing and retaining information.

It was built alongside the 85% Words of Qur'an app to assist Muslims worldwide in reflecting on Allah's Divine Names and Attributes with ease and consistency.
